Job opening: Lectureship in Applied Mathematics (closing date 10th April 2014)

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Open University is seeking a Lecturer in Applied Mathematics.

The successful candidate will have a PhD (or equivalent) and a proven track record of research in an area of applied mathematics or theoretical physics, indicating potential for future excellence. Preference will be given to candidates whose interests strengthen or augment our existing research areas, however exceptional candidates with other research interests will also be considered.

We also require excellent teaching and presentation skills, and experience of teaching subjects with a high level of mathematical content at university level. Other criteria are set out in the Further Particulars.
