Thursday, Oct 2nd 2008

The Open University has been ranked second for overall student satisfaction amongst Higher Education Institutions in the UK in the National Student Survey. Ninety-four per cent of its students said they were satisfied overall, according to results published today (11 September 2008). Almost 7,000 Open University students took part in the survey. As the UK’s largest University and provider of part-time education, the Open University has been at the forefront of the ratings since they were introduced in 2005.

The Open University is the only Higher Education provider dedicated entirely to distance learning and is widely acknowledged as the world leader in this field.

259 Institutions were surveyed, which included for the first time this year higher education courses in further education colleges.
